Using our beautiful analogue console and our array of preamps and microphones, we will help you through all the stages of production and recording ensuring your music is recorded to a world class standard in our friendly and creative environment. From our newly refurbished Control Room we have direct line of sight through to the Live Room which has varying acoustics to suit all recordings and also has line of sight through to our new booth, enabling bands to record live but with audio separation if required.
Once your recordings are ready for the next stage we can help you to achieve the highest standard mix for your project using our racks of analogue compressors, EQs and effects, along with a vast array of plugins within Protools. Any editing of timing and tuning can also be taken care of. Re-amping of guitars and bass is available through our varied collection of amps and cabs. See the equipment list for details. Online mixing is also available.
Whether you mixed with us or anywhere else we offer a professional mastering service to add the final touches to your mix. Using combinations of compression, equalisation, saturation, limiting and other enhancements, your mixes will get the impact and polish you need to achieve a professional and marketable product.
The Parlour Recording Workshop is a 4-day course for anyone with even the most basic recording skills who wishes to expand their knowledge of recording studio techniques and get hands on experience in a working studio environment using both traditional analogue equipment and the latest ProTools HD recording system.
This is a unique opportunity to experience the entire recording process from setting up microphones to mixing a song. Over the four day workshop you will be shown all the essential aspects of recording and mixing a song from start to finish, see below for an outline of the subjects that will be covered. Numbers will be strictly limited on each recording course to maximize the learning potential and hands-on time available. The genre of music will normally be rock, metal or indie depending on popular demand and band availability.

The Parlour Rehearsal Rooms are Northamptonshire's premier rehearsal studios. The rehearsal studios are located on the same complex as the recording studio in Kettering, just outside Northampton.
At The Parlour Rehearsal Rooms we have four fully sound-proofed and acoustically designed rooms. We believe we are the only rehearsal studios in our area to be built with acoustics in mind. This means you can hear your rehearsal with crystal clear clarity and won't be disturbed by the other bands. The largest room is 30m2 and is suitable for up to six musicians. All the studios are located on the ground floor, supplied with PA system, two microphones and kept clean and tidy.
The rooms can be hired for as little as £22 for a 4-hour session.
